Datacenter Migration 8/1/09

I'm pleased to announce that due to growth and a desire to continually improve the level of service that we can provide, Ideanode will be moving to a datacenter that provides better environmental control, physical redundancy and network capacity.

Because this involves powering down and transporting the equipment that your site runs on, it will involve downtime. To minimize any business impact, we're planning on a maintenance window starting at 11pm on Saturday, August 1st. We are scheduling our maintenance to conclude at 10am on Sunday, August 2nd (though we anticipate having critical systems up prior to this).

Server Maintenance July 16th

Unfortunately we've encountered a generator failure at the datacenter due to this evening's power maintenance and most services are currently offline. We are slated to be completed no later than 5am MST, after which we will bring all services back online as soon as possible.

Server Maintenance July 15th

We're upgrading our infrastructure which will require some machines to be brought down to be physically moved.

We anticipate starting work on this process tonight at 9pm MST, with outages occurring for 15 minutes or so sometime between 9pm and 3am MST. We anticipate another outage between 3am and 5am on July 16th as we switch over power infrastructure.

Power Maintenance 4/17

This evening between 10:30PM and 11:59PM MDT we’re going to re-route power for many of the Ideanode servers, necessitating a reboot. We may see interruptions in service to both the email and web hosting, we’re working to minimize things as much as possible.

Server Status Restored

All sites and servers should be back online and operational as of now.

Server Status

Denver's second blizzard in two weeks has caused a burst water pipe in the datacenter affecting all Ideanode servers. We are currently working on rerouting power to bring the systems back online as soon as possible, as soon as we are back online we will post here again.

Mail Server Maintenance 10/4/06

UPDATE: This maintenance has been completed.

We are performing some mail server maintenace this evening to complete capacity, most shared hosting customers will be affected.


We anticipate being down between 10PM MDT and completing around 2 or 3AM MDT, but will post again when maintenance is complete.


During this time, you will not be able to send or receive mail, but you will not lose any mail sent to you at this time.

Outage Recovered

We've resolved the outage issue encountered this evening, a full writeup to follow on the Ideanode blog when we've completed our post-mortem.

We're currently experiencing an outage on the main mail and main web servers, technicians are en route to correct and things will be back up as soon as possible.
